Albert Park is Associate Professor and Associate Chair of the Department ofEconomics and Associate Director of the Center for Chinese Studies at the Universityof Michigan.He has published numerous articles on poverty,rural development ,and financial reform in China and has consulted for the World Bank and the OECD.
Tony Saich is Daewoo Professor of International Affairs at the John F.KennedySchool of Government,Harvard University.He is faculty chair for the School*sAsia Programs and the China Public Policy Program.He has taught in universitiesin the Netherlands,the United Kingdom,and the United States ,and from 1994to1999,he was the Chief Representative for the Ford Foundation *s China Office.His most recent publication is The Governance and Politics of China (Palgrave,2004)。
Ligang Song is Director of China Economy and Business Program in the Asia PacificSchool of Economics and Government at Australian National University,where he alsoserves as a fellow.Research interests include international trade studies,theChinese economy and the Asia Pacific economies.Publications include the book ChangingGlobal Comparative Advantage:Evidence from Asia and the Pacific(Addison-Wesley,1996)。
Edward S.Steinfeld is an Associate Professor in the MIT Department of PoliticalSci-ence.His work focuses on the political economy of reform in China,with a particularemphasis on industrial and financial restructuring.Steinfeld is the author of the1998book Forging Reform in China :The Fate of State Owned Industry(Cambridge )。
